Earlier this month the Westmead Children’s Hospital held their annual Emerald Ball to raise much needed funds for kids rehab. With over 850 guests and performances by the likes of Jimmy Barnes & comedian Tommy Little they certainly know how to throw a party! The ball raised over $711,000 on the evening and we’re proud to say that Booth Boy played a small part in that via the donation of a photo booth hire package for auction.
But that’s just the first part of the story. As a child I sustained third degree burns to my feet in an unfortunate accident, extensive skin grafting was required and I spent a total of three months in the children hospital undergoing care, grafting and rehabilitation. Needless to say Booth Boy feels strongly about the work that the Children’s hospital does and it was a great opportunity to do our small part and help support such a great service. Money raised on the evening will help fund rehabilitation treatment programs for children with disabilities including: Acquired Brain Injury, Cerebral Palsy, Limb Deficiency, Spinal Cord Injury / Disease, Spina Bifida and Connective Tissue Disorders, so it’s certainly a worthy cause.
